ADMISSION CRITERIA
        Admission to every course is offered on the fulfillment of certain prerequisites. Passing an aptitude  test or clearing a brief interview is essential for admission to a career course.

COURSE CONDUCT  AND  PROCEDURE
        Career courses  are  conducted in a pattern of logical  semester. Each semester builds upon the Knowledge  gained in the previous one. Based upon specific  requirements, a student test may also opt to take up only one semester as a Certificate Course.

METHODOLOGY
         Courses are designed in a manner which generally  enables students to practice on a machine what is taught in the class, before the next theory session is taken up. About 50% of the scheduled course duration is spent on session in the Computer Lab. Each session in the C Computer  Lab or class room is of two hours duration.

TESTS, ASSIGNMENTS AND TUTORIALS
Surprise Quizzes and tests are given to students periodically. Lab assignments form an integral part of the course. Students are required to work on theoretical part of assignments in groups and works on problem in pairs during scheduled lab sessions. Concepts taught in the class are strengthened by specially designed lab assignments.

         Tutorials are conducted individually or in groups. They are aimed at encouraging students at independent reading  and thinking so that innovative solution to problems posed can emerge.

          Both lab assignments and tutorial are evaluated. Evaluation may also be done through a viva-voice. These evaluations are pooled for the overall evaluation of the student for the course

PROJECTS 

      Projects are an important part of HARTRON Course. Developed by experts, these projects  are designed to build upon the theory taught in class room and the practical skills learnt in the lab. Projects are done at the end semester to reinforce the contents and concepts dealt with the semester. For certain semester-end projects, students are required to work individually on the computer. This gives them the confidence and ability to work independently. Projects are evaluated on the basis of variety of factor ,which also includes a  viva-voce.

EVALUATION
       A system of continuous evaluation coupled with a semester and examination is followed Continuous evaluation is administered through tests, assignments, tutorials and projects under-taken by the student during semester. Such evaluation monitors a student's comprehension of a subject and regularity of application.

THE EXTERNAL EXAMINATION
Question paper for semester-end examinations are conducted  centrally. These papers are set by HARTRON (HEAD OFFICE),Chandigarh. The importance of continuous learning process is emphasized by combining  the marks of the internal and external assessment in the final result.

RE-TEST
A system of re-test for improvement is also available for those who Re-appear or pass in the pervious test.

ATTENDANCE
      Attendance is an important factor for eligibility to appear in exam. Any laxity in attendance reflects upon the student's performance. Absence on medical/compassionate grounds are considered on a case-to-case basis.

DISCIPLINE
      Disciplinary norms of the centre are an integral part of training at Hartron Workstation. Students are required to adhere strictly to those norms. Hartron Workstation have the discretion  to debar students temporarily or permanently, if they violate disciplinary norms of the centre.

INTER CENTRE MIGRATION
         Student wishing to migrate themselves from one centre to another are allowed to do so after completion of the required formalities, as per guidelines issue from Corporate Office.

SEMINAR & WORKSHOP
           Issues of current interest in the field of computers is the theme of seminars and workshops organized by Hartron Centre's. These seminars are open to all HARTRON students and are targeted at students registered for career courses. It helps them transcend the narrow confines of a laid down syllabus. Speakers familiar with the industry are called upon to conduct these session.

RECOGNITION OF MERIT
           THE Institute acknowledges outstanding performance of encourage students doing any course/program through certain Awards for            Excellence.
           Any student who scores an aggregate of 90% marks or more would be considered for HARTRON's Certificate of Excellence.
          In ordered to be considered for the awards, the student's application should be  forwarded by the Centre Manager to HARTRON Corporate  Office.

PLACEMENT SERVICE
     Placement assistance is available to  all students who successfully complete certain course and  meets certain eligibility criteria defined from time to time. The interested  students should contact the counselor on the completion of the course and submit copies of their resume.

           It  is desirable for a student to go in for placement soon after the successful completion of the course.

A CAREER IN INFOTECH

    This is the age of the Information Technology. Over the last decade, Information Technology has been the fastest growing industry in the world. Industries all over the world have been increasing the investment in computing facilities in order to harness the benefits of this technology. This has led to a continuous  requirement for  qualified personnel in the filed of computing. It has also made personnel from  traditionally non-computing areas such as Finance, Sales & Marketing, Personnel ,Creative designing etc. Seek computing qualifications to competitive in the market place.
  However, the gap between the supply and demand of computer  personnel is increasing. And it is increasing at an alarming rate.

Students with good computing qualifications are often in a position to choose there employers. Moreover, the excellent prospects  computing qualifications offer has started the process of transference of  personnel from traditional job profiles (e.g. Finance, Engineering   etc. )to the Information Technology Industry.

 Trained Information Technology  professional are therefore offered impressive pay scales and auxiliary benefits. Their shortage often leads to the phenomenon of " head- hunting"- a common way of employing EDP  professionals.

The government's thrust on Software Exports has led to Lucrative foreign postings for a large number of programmers. These jobs give them a technically satisfying career.

So your choice to be in the field of Information Technology  can ensure a fast-track career in an industry that not only promises the best returns, but also one of the most fulfilling careers.
